They don’t really like it hot at all so are great blooms for early spring and late fall. Alyssum
Believe it or Sweet Alyssum—with it’s masses of tiny blossoms packing a lot of sweet fragrance—is a member of the mustard family! Alyssum looks delicate but it can handle both heat and drought. It works well in hanging baskets, borders and planters. It likes full sun and well drained soil.
